I wouldn’t be where I am today without my network of connections, advocates, and sponsors. Those people who know the value of your work, and make sure others do too - especially when you’re not in the room or when you don’t have a seat at the table just yet. While mentorship plays a tremendous role in guiding our journey, that’s just one piece of the puzzle. There are “career boosters” all around us. My favorites come in the form of an advocate to shine a light on your value, a supportive community, and a healthy dose of self-promotion.
