Being diagnosed with a chronic illness can be an incredibly isolating experience. When I was diagnosed with my chronic illness, I wondered how I would ever cope. I honestly had no idea how it was going to affect my life. Would I be able to keep up with my career? It was hard to admit that I was not the person I used to be. I learned that managing my illness doesn’t automatically equate to managing the outward consequences of it. As the co-founder of a startup, I've created routines that are freeing me from the guilt and overwhelm of work/life balance.
